The world can be a dark place for children with disabilities. At school, they may be bullied or encounter teachers and staff that don’t treat them right. People around them can make them feel insignificant like they have no value. They might even sense that a parent is embarrassed by them, just wanting to stick them in a room, hide them away from the world.
